A few weeks ago I had the honor to photograph one of the best winter weddings in my career. Jocelyn & Nate got married on a beautiful white winter day at the Kortright Centre.
I arrived early at Kortright Centre to get ready and snap some set up shots. Jocelyn and Nate did a terrific job complimenting the space with their décor. It was very natural and personal – just like these two are.
The (non-stop) fun began as soon as Jocelyn arrived at the venue and started getting ready with her sisters and mother. As you can see, it was a riot right off the bat with Jocelyn dancing around in any given second. Isn’t that how it’s suppose to be? It was so touching to see how happy and positive these guys were on their wedding day. Not even a sliver of stress! Since Kortright is a conservation centre, we were lucky to have access to all of the different rooms and to be honest; it felt a bit like 6th grade science class. So cool! You can see through the photos that we definitely took advantage of the different surprises these rooms hold inside.
Once the guys were ready we moved on to some family photos and couple portraits before the ceremony. Being camping enthusiasts, Jocelyn & Nate were such a pleasure to photograph outside. Even though it was quite cold, we went out there and got some spectacular shots. Kudos to them for being such sports!
I have to say that from the beginning all the way to the end, this wedding was something else. I believe it’s all due to how awesome and chill these guys are. From goofing around with the stuffed animals all the way to breaking it down on the dance floor - This wedding was phenomenal! Did I mention the guys put on snowshoes and hiked during the shoot?!
I am extremely grateful I got to be a part of this magical day!
