Last December I photographed Zarina & Yonatan’s beautiful Playa del Carmen wedding. It was my first time shooting in Mexico and I sure loved it a lot! To start, I was back in my flip-flops and those of you who know me personally know that it is my natural state. More than that, the fact that my passion (which is luckily my profession) took me on this wonderful adventure is really something that I am always grateful for. This was a super energized wedding with lovely guests from all over the world.
As soon as I arrived to the resort in Playa del Carmen Zarina, Yonatan and their families treated me like family. Always making sure that I’m ok and enjoying my stay. After a good night sleep I woke up to the smell of the Riviera Maya’s ocean water creeping up my nose. I don’t think I could have asked for a better start for the day to be honest. I hopped between the bride and groom while they were getting ready, and from there we moved on to an emotional first look moment. After that we continued on to the family photos, wedding party, and couple portraits. The thing about shooting on the beach in Mexico is that…. It’s so gorgeous. Yes, it is a very specific, typical destination wedding look but who cares?! The colour of the water and sand, and more than that, the way they feel on your toes. That makes everybody happy.
If you thought these were the highlights of the day you should’ve been at the party. Israeli weddings are known to be super fun and this one definitely lived up to the expectations!
