As a Toronto wedding photographer, I get to meet incredible people all the time. Yasmin and Dan definitely fall into that category, and since the moment I met them I couldn’t wait to photograph their Westin Prince wedding! These two lovebirds had one of the most beautiful weddings I got to shoot in 2014 and I am so happy I took part in this amazing day.
I showed up early at the Westin Prince to capture the ladies getting ready. Right off the bat I got really friendly with everybody and had a lovely time capturing some memories of that stage of the day. While we were doing that, Dan and the boys got into their suits (after an intense pillow fight), played a game of cards in the back alleys of Bloor & Ossington, and made their way to the venue on the subway! Is that awesome or what?! All captured by the talent Jennifer Leigh Saunders.
I’ve literally watched the décor spread white petals on the aisle all morning long, making sure it is perfect for Yasmin when she walks down the aisle and towards her future husband, Dan. The ceremony was full of traditional customs that brought a bit of cultural background into this lovely wedding.
We took advantage of the time between the ceremony and the reception to get some family photos done, as well as wedding party, and couple portraits. Oh and a quick Tennis game ;) Yasmin and Dan photograph so well I could just shoot these two all day long!
I am so happy I got to meet these wonderful people, spend some time with them and document their biggest day. It was a pleasure and a true honor!
Fun fact: While the girls were getting the final touches done we noticed there were dozens of dead bees on the carpet in the hotel room. How odd!
